Contests in Bolivia, and the teams that have represented the country at the ICPC World Finals. The balloons in almost every photo are not decoration: each one marks a problem accepted by the judges.

Contests in Bolivia

Each year the contest runs in person and simultaneously across several cities.

    Santa Cruz de la Sierra, 2025

    The Santa Cruz site of the 2025 Bolivian Programming Contest, held on 12 September simultaneously across eleven cities. Every balloon above a table means one more problem accepted by the judges.

    South America South Regional 2024 — Tarija

    The Coliseo Universitario at Universidad Autónoma Juan Misael Saracho, the Bolivian site of the 2024 ICPC Latin America Contests, on Saturday 9 November 2024. With 106 accredited teams it was by a wide margin the largest of the region's five sites, which together gathered 218 teams from 85 universities.

    South America South Regional 2023 — La Paz

    The 2023 ICPC Latin America regional was contested on 20–21 October, and this picture is from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés gymnasium in La Paz. The region gathered 129 teams across four sites and Bolivia accredited 48 of them. The best-placed Bolivian team on the official scoreboard was "Los Maquinolas", from UMSA.

Bolivia at the World Finals

The teams that qualified through the Regional to the ICPC's final stage.

    49th World Finals — Baku, 2025

    Bolivia's strongest showing to date. In Baku, 31 August to 5 September 2025, UMSS competed as "Perritos Malvados" — Miguel Ángel Ortiz Mérida, Nicolás Armando Alba Murillo and Nicolás Mateo Valdivia Viscarra — and earned an Honorable Mention with five problems solved: 119th of 139 teams on the final scoreboard, and 12th among the 18 Latin American teams.

    47th World Finals — Luxor

    The edition branded "ICPC 2023" was contested in Luxor on 14–19 April 2024. UMSS competed as "Club de Frontón 2880" — Nicolás Mateo Valdivia Viscarra, Rodrigo Joaquín Salguero Morales and Oliver Winsor Pozo Flores — and earned an Honorable Mention with two problems solved, 114th of 130 teams on the final scoreboard.

    45th World Finals — Dhaka, 2022

    Universidad Mayor de San Simón was the only Bolivian team in Dhaka, 6–11 November 2022. Team "Que perdio" — Ronaldo Franco Jaldín, Miguel Ángel Ortiz Mérida and Rodrigo Joaquín Salguero Morales, coached by María Leticia Blanco Coca — finished 121st of 132 teams on the final scoreboard.
